Broadway’s Talk Radio star and Gossip Girl regular Sebastian Stan will join The Twilight Saga’s Ashley Green in the Dark Castle Entertainment supernatural horror film The Apparition, The Hollywood Reporter reveals.
Stan will play a coming of age post grad in the film who tries “to figure out his life.” Greene will play Stan’s girlfriend. Allegedly inspired by a true story, The Apparition focus’s on a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment.
Todd Lincoln penned the film, and also serves as its director. Joel Silver, Andrew Rona, and Alex Heineman are producing. The thriller, planned for a 2011 release in the U.S., is set to begin production in February of this year in Berlin before moving to Los Angeles in March.
Having starred alongside Liev Schreiber in 2007′s Talk Radio on Broadway, Stan played the role of Carter Baizen in CW’s hit series Gossip Girl, appeared in drama series Kings in which he portrayed Prince Jack Benjamin, and had a supporting role in the Anne Hathaway drama Rachel Getting Married.

“Gossip Girl” actor Sebastian Stan will star opposite Ashley Green in “The Apparition,” a supernatural horror project from Dark Castle Entertainment. Todd Lincoln is directing.
Stan joins Green in the story of a couple who are haunted by a supernatural presence that is unleashed during a college experiment. Lincoln wrote the script, which is said to be inspired by true events.

Shooting is scheduled to begin Feb. 1 at Studio Babelsberg in Germany, then moves to Los Angeles in March.
The lead is the biggest movie part yet for Brookside Management-repped Stan, who plays Carter Baizen on CW’s “Gossip Girl.” He just wrapped shooting Darren Aronofsky’s thriller “Black Swan” and will appear in the John Cusack comedy “Hot Tub Time Machine.”
